How does the Passtab lockdown module work

A Passtab role is set up that each of your staff have logged into on their personal devices – phones, laptops etc.

In a lockdown, each staff member goes to their device, clicks Passtab and clicks a button that says “Lockdown”

They submit a status: “Clear” or “Not Clear”.

If “Not Clear”, they provide more information (that might be something like, I have two students at the bathroom that I’m not sure of their whereabouts or we are in a place that isn’t safe. Please call me on 0400854xxx

Then people in the office or the lockdown manager accesses the Passtab admin area and goes to the “Lockdown submissions” page. This shows everyones status and highlights “Not Clear”. It shows the additional information that was provided. You can rest assured that all staff who’ve submitted a “clear” as being safe and you can focus on giving the required help to the people who submitted “Not Clear”.

How the Passtab lockdown module works

1. School staff set up Passtab on their smartphone and/or desktop computer.

This provides them with access to the Lockdown All Clear/Not Clear submission portal.

Open a web browser on your computer
Type in your Passtab URL
Enter your access name: (eg: staff)
Enter your password

2.School managers/administrators set up Passtab admin on their smartphone and/or desktop computer.

Open a web browser on your computer
Type in your Passtab URL
Enter your access name: (eg: passtab admin)
Enter your password

3. In the event of a Lockdown, school staff will open Passtab on their device and click into the portal.

They will be prompted to provide their name, class and location along with an All Clear? Yes or No.

In the event of “No” they will be prompted to provide further details (ie: Sarah has left class for the bathroom and is not currently in my care).

4. The School manager will login to Passtab to view the Lockdown submissions and can filter to view All Clear or Not Clear to quickly see who is safe and who requires attention.

5. Passtab will send an email alert to your school’ nominated email address, to notify of any “Not Clear” submissions.
